Anthony (Tony) T. DeLuco Certified Health Insurance Specialist

MD

I was born in Sault Ste. Marie, raised on Third Ave. in the Abruzzese section of the Italian community, graduated from the now-closed St. Joseph's grade school, followed by St. Mary's College, then the University of Ottawa where I completed my degree in Medicine, returning to practice in the Soo from 1974 to 2005.

After leaving medical practice, and still anxious to give value to life, it seemed logical to me to go from one "advice-oriented occupation" to the next: "financial advice" which is almost as important as health care advice. And so, in 2006, I found myself again in a post graduate training program at London Life headquarters in London, Ontario where I qualified for my new occupation — FINANCIAL SECURITY ADVISOR.

Newly trained, qualified, and now licensed, I became part of the London Life (now Canada Life) team in Sault Ste. Marie. During that time, I also managed to obtain my Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) certificate qualifying to do group benefit plans, as well as to advise on the other more traditional mainstays of financial advice like life, critical illness, disability insurances, and investment products (mutual funds and segregated funds) — all the aspects of estate planning. I have been a member of the group ADVOCIS, a professional body which sets standards of educational uniformity and conformity across the country.

It is at the London Life offices where I met the other partners of this group that constitutes Great Lakes Wealth, and as a whole we all adhere to the principles of regulatory compliance, educational excellence, accessibility, and openness.

Though my qualifications and interests in financial advising extend to all age groups and genders, I am most interested in planning with the "older" clients among us, with whom my bio implies I'd most likely identify!

I am proud to be a member of this team, and look forward to serving your needs, while assuring any current or prospective client that your needs will be well attended to by myself, with the back-up of a knowledgeable and skilled team of advisors that constitutes Great Lakes Wealth and Advisory Group.
